Submitted by reza aribuwana on 13 August, 2011 - 04:42.hey thanks. sure, i can give a few tips. what do you want to learn specifically? PM me with your questions and i will try to give a thorough answer. for now i'll tell you this: i always use pencil and manipulate it with photoshop. pretty simple tricks like multiply and overlay. clean the page with eraser tool. make the panels; new layer and then use stroke.
the last step is to apply all the tones and shades. i use a lot of shading techniques though, for example i make template for pencil shades so i can use it over and over just by using the overlay/multiply effect, as you can see on the last page of this chapter, i simply use the gradient tool, multiply it. and then put the pencil shades template above it and use overlay.
one more thing. the reason i use pencil is because, to me its faster and more flexible. with the same pencil i can either make a thinline or a bold stroke. if you are comfortable with pen/ink already, go and use it. i believe the effects i mentioned above will also works fine with pen.

Submitted by Crow on 13 August, 2011 - 03:34.omg dark and nice to read, basically the story is not my style tough. but i read it all the way to the end, and it was nice, and the character personality is just kind of surprising, they talk a lot when i thought they are a lil bit calmer, but this is nice, especially the illustration, c'mon Reza san, gimme some advice, one or two words that i can do it repeatedly so i will be able to draw nicer and cleaner like this. ah well this is nice anyway, it's like i was reading blade of immortal but with a few adjustment to pop culture or american style. i kinda like it so gimme some advice okay.
